MONSELICE...the gate of the Euganean Hills

Not very far from the health spa centers like Abano and Montegrotto Terme, in the heart of the charming Euganean Hills, this little village has preserved the atmosphere of the medieval age.
Our visit to the city starts with the Loggia, the Civic Tower and the museum of Ca' Marcello (named after the Venetian family who currently own the castle), continuing onto the 13th century Cathedral of Santa Giustina, Villa Duodo, the church of San Giorgio on the devotional route of the “seven churches”, and finally to the Fortress itself, which dominates the hillside.

MONTAGNANA...away from the ordinary flow of time
The walls surrounding the city of Montagnana are impressive and imposing, they are considered the best preserved walls in Europe.
These magnificent brick walls have 24 polygonal crenellated towers and four gates, two of which are fortified with castle-like battlements. Just outside the Porta Padova on the east side you will find the Villa Pisani, built in 1560 by Andrea Palladio.
You will also be amazed by the historical centre with the splendid Gothic-Renaissance cathedral, the exceptional beauty of medieval palaces and the simple elegance of the church of St. Francis.
