Arquà Petrarca, in the Regional Park of the Euganean Hill, is a medieval town just one hour away from Venice in the Veneto region and it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy .It is a place where you can join nature, history and wine traditions.
The Euganean Hills or Padua Hills are unique from the point of view of the scenery as well as morphological and historical perspective, they've always been celebrated for their picturesque beauty and their hot springs. The Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei was established in 1989 by the Veneto Region. It covers an area of about 18,000 hectares. The park offers a wide choice of recreational, naturalistic, historical and touristic activities.
One of the most fascinating spot is the site of Villa dei Vescovi in the little town of Luvigliano. The villa, designed by Falconetto as a summer residence for the bishops of Padua, was built in the 15th century and later expanded in the 16th century. The fresco decorations by the painter Lambert Sustris will enchanting you and bring you back in the magical word of the classical myhtology.
What not to miss. Among the events promoting specialty products: the Moscato Arquà Jazz Festival, in September; the Festival of the Jujube, 1st and 2nd Sundays of October and the Festival of New Oil, in November.
