The Euganean Hills or Padua Hills are unique from the point of view of the scenery as well as morphological and historical perspective, they've always been celebrated for their picturesque beauty and their hot springs.
The Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei was established in 1989 by the Veneto Region. It covers an area of about 18,000 hectares. The park offers a wide choice of recreational, naturalistic, historical and touristic activities.
One of the most fascinating spot is the site of Villa dei Vescovi in the little town of Luvigliano. The villa, designed by Falconetto as a summer residence for the bishops of Padua, was built in the 15th century and later expanded in the 16th century. The fresco decorations by the painter Lambert Sustris will enchanting you and bring you back in the magical word of the classical myhtology.
To complete the visit we suggest a walk inside the majestic garden of Valsanzibio. It's one of the most significant baroque gardens in Europe, if not in the world: over 40 acres decorated by seventy statues, cascades, fountains and water features.
